Hey ladies. Curious what plus sized brides have done or will do to prevent dreaded chub rub on the wedding day? I'm going to wear some comfy lacy bike shorts(sounds weird but they will be under dress and will help a ton), also planning on a bustier or longline strapless bra with a dusting of lush's silky underwear all over! Haha Smiley smile

I have been experimenting with this too! I didn't like the deodorant, I felt slimy almost (it could be the type I was using...) Spanx are always a good option... I have been using gold bond spray powder and I like that a lot!

I have never heard of bandalettes! After googling them, I would be nervous they would fall or roll haha!

Deodorant def works. I personally can't use body glide, we know i'm not allergic, i tested it. but when i went to actually use it the chaffing was worse and i had a huge swollen red rash all over my legs. for days.

Bandeletts are my favorite followed by deodorant. I find baby powder/cornstarch/gold bond works, but must be applied more often.

@katie, try them. I'll seriously buy them off you if you hate them. They have like a thin, flexible plastic band (think like the ones on strapless bras) on the top and bottom to help keep them in place. And you order them in your size.

I use deodorant on my inner thighs. I like Secret's "Outlast & Olay Smooth Solid" - it's kind of a cross between a gel and a solid so it spreads on really nicely and really does last!

I second everyone who has said Body glide. I'm a long distance runner and chafing is a constant struggle. I've heard that brides of all sizes should come up with a chafing solution! Our dresses will be very hot, and we'll sweat under our skirts like crazy.

I will be wearing a pair of shorts as well. I have a thing with my skin touching lol. I'm ok with other people touching me but not my own skin lol. It freaks me out!!

I swear by baby powder in these cases (corn starch might be just as effective). I have chubby thighs, and my dress was very tight around the waist/thighs, so they were rubbing all day long. I completely covered my legs in baby powder before getting dressed, and I only had to reapply once during the reception.

DUDE BODY GLIDE. I seriously use it every day of my life and it is amazing. I wore it in Destin, Florida earlier this summer on vacay and even with going to the beach at least once a day, nothing! It is seriously incredible and life changing. I got mine from Dick's for $10!

Another vote here for the Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel. Plus, oddly enough, it doubles as a great makeup primer.

Planning on wearing shorts. Not sure where to find them yet. I found undersummers online but I don't know if I want to pay $30 for them.

I used Glide, it's what runners use. It's a small Deodorant type applicator. I used it the day off but I've been a fan of it for years.
