Please Help Praise Dance

Umm..this can be a tricky one. Are you sure you want someone to dance while you make your grand entrance? Im thinking this will take away from your entrance as the guest attention will be divided between you entering and the person dancing. A wedding I went to recently had a tribute to the bride and groom at the reception during dinner. The dance was dedicated to them and the dancer was the center of attention. It was really nice. If I remember correctly the dance was to the song...Never would have made it...

Are you sure that you want to have someone praise dance WHILE you walk down the aisle? Maybe just before you come down the aisle? But I would want all eyes on me so I think a praise dancer would either distract from the bride or people wont pay attention b/c they are watching the bride.

FH suggests "Your Glory" by Dottie Peoples. It's on the Churchin' with Dottie cd.

FH officiated a wedding where they had a praise dancer for the intro of the song. she danced up the aisle and then back down and out the back door and then they reopened the doors for the bride's entrance.

I like Ladylee idea, of having the dancer dance b4 your entrance. I am having my niece praise dance, but like Bride to be and Ladylee, I think the dancer will steal apart of your moment. But, Never could have made it is a beautiful song!

Also keep in mind having the dancer ahead of you will block your photographer from being able to get good shots of you making your entrance and comeing down the aisle

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I don't mean to step on anyone's toes but I don't feel that Never Would Have Made It would be appropriate for your wedding. I love the song but in my opinion that song is an expressive worship between a person and God. My suggestion would be along the lines of "You Are My Ministry"-Shirley Murdock(TD Jakes Sacred Love Songs). Also, if you want the dance to take place during your wedding have it done after you walk in as a tribute to you and your husband so that the both of you are the center of attention or you can have it done at the reception as a tribute. I've been director over the dance ministry at my church for over 15 years now and I know that it is important that the dance not only look nice but effectively conveys a message of ministry to you and your husband and to those celebrating with you. I would also strongly caution you against having someone dance WHILE you are walking. You don't want anything taking eyes off you, and you want your FH to have a clear view of you and you alone!!

Perhaps before the wedding procession? Even during the ceremony? Songs...
