Please help! Meals for vendors

Hector, on August 27, 2022 at 11:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
Hi! I’m in dire need of help. Do you think it is a good idea to set a place setting for vendor for the day! IE: photographer, coordinator, DJ and emcee??? Should they be added to my guest count or how do I go about this??? Please someone help!!!!

Yes, we added them to the total head count for the caterer. You can choose to have a table for just your vendors or seat them with other guests. We will be giving ours the option of sitting with us or in a separate adjoining room (in case they would prefer having a break away from everything just to relax).

I counted them in the head count, but didn’t have them sitting with my guests.

Check with your venue/caterer. Mine has different prices for vendors, adults and kids. So my head count for them will be 4 vendors, 5 kids and 68 adults. (just numbers thrown out, I have no clue how many adults and kids will be there yet LOLOL)

ALSO ... check your vendor contracts!!! My photographer has it in his that they are to be fed.

Please have a whole separate table for your vendors set up, so they will have the availability and a safe place to set down equipment, drink, as well as having a place to eat. This truly is a big deal to them, as they would also like to have a place to sit, relax and enjoy as well during the times they are so heavily needed.
My husband and I did this for our vendors, even having it labeled on our seating chart, and I cannot tell you how many repeated "thank yous" we received all night long.

I put my vendors in my head count and if I remember correctly I had them sitting at a guest table that was not fill but I also knew them where I could do that. You can add them to your guest count and have a table for them

Many caterers have a discounted price for vendor meals, so make sure you let your caterer know how many vendors you have. I'm going to have a table for vendors to eat at so everyone has a clean place setting.
