Please help! Cheap wedding venues in Tampa??

Hi all! I need some help. Trying to find a venue in the Tampa area has been a nightmare and is already making relationships very strained (family, fiance etc). Things are either booked up or too expensive. We only have about $5000 (for the entire wedding) and have about 150 people. Outside isn't really gonna work for for a few reasons and preferably ceremony and reception in the same location. I have cried everyday since the engagement because of this and I just really need to find a place. Any leads?

I don’t know the Tampa area but I would say one thing that might help is being flexible with your date. Most venues book up over a year out so if you want more options you may need to push the date back some. Also 5000 for 150 isn’t a lot so definitely look into a cake/punch reception earlier in the day rather than a typical dinner/dancing reception. Have you looked into church halls or an elks lodge?

I have looked at some churches which I thought would've been the easiest option but most require you to be a member or be associated with their denomination. I also suggested a cake/punch reception due to the budget but it was not received well. Thank you for your help though!

There’s a community center inn st Pete Beach that’s indoors and has large windows overlooking the bay and I think is only about $1,500. Outdoors is probably going to be your best option though because you can use the Florida’s Botanical Gardens in Largo for a $150 rental fee and you can have both the ceremony and reception there. Felipi Park in Palm Harbor is also a pretty place with covered shelters for a small rental fee
