I am unsure if I want an 'unplugged' wedding, but I know that I want to be the first one to post my wedding photos online. Anyone put something in their programs about this or is it bad taste? Should I just have an unplugged wedding to save the hassle - Thanks!

We're putting disposable cameras on each table so they take pictures! it's facebook, we honestly don't mind too much. Smiley smile

I have a different take on this, and I posted this on another thread. I personally hate to look out at the 'audience",who have been invited to one of the most important moments of a couple's lives and see no one paying attention to the carefully created ceremony but watching it all through their cameras and phones. No one is really present for the ceremony; it's all about taking photos that the photographer will take anyway.

Have a sign, have it on the programs, have your ushers announce it, have the DOC or officiant announce it (though I don't start the ceremony that way). If they were in an orthodox church or temple, guess what? They couldn't take photos. It's part of being a community of witnesses invited to share a sacrament.

Over-sharing is really a curse in a lot of ways. We've lost control of our own events, and I think that's sad.
