This is me in my dress attached. I was really not going to alter it at all because i feel like my fiancé wont like it on me anymore. If i make changes that would make the neck line more more low cut. make my chest look more like i have one since im not big in that area at all. Do you think that would maybe help me not look or feel so blah in it. I think im just trying so hard to find a way to love this dress i just can't and want to. My goal was look sexy to him and i dont feel it. I honestly as silly as it sounds fear walking down in it.
I think i messed up when i showed him styles of dresses and he said this style looks hideous and i have that stuck in my head still and just can not shake it.Please be honest and help me with this 1

I think it’s one thing for him to say the style looks hideous, but when you’re wearing it yourself on your wedding day it’s a wholeee different ballgame! You could show up in a garbage bag and he’d think you look beautiful! What matters most is that YOU think you look good in it! Do whatever adjustments you think you need to do to look your best, because that will make you just exude confidence. Once you add a veil, hair, makeup, the whole nine yards everything is just amped up and I’ve never heard of a groom seeing their bride and being like “Yeah I still think that style is ugly”! He will think you look beautiful no matter what, and I’m sure he’ll even forget that he said he didn’t like that style when you’re wearing it that day!!

I really like the top part on you actually! I think you look gorgeous in it! But if I had to pick it apart if you’re looking for my truly honest opinion I would go to a seamstress and ask them to take down the ruffles a bit. I feel like this dress would be wonderful on you if they were able to just tame the bottom part down.

He will love you wearing anything. You look stunning so I wouldn't worry but your feelings are valid. Leave the entire dress as is and wear a necklace or some other accessories.

I like this dress on you. It is sexy but classy. I think once your fiancé sees you in it, he will be blown away. If you are really self-conscious about it, get it altered. But again, I really don't think you need to.

I think that dress is GORGEOUS and looks great on you! But if you don't feel it, you need to do something to make you feel it. If you were to get it altered, I would probably have it taken in a bit as it looks a little big on you honestly. That will definitely accentuate your curves. Maybe meet with a seamstress and tell her/him your thoughts and see what they can do? Sometimes they can pin it for you so you can see how it looks before they actually do any alterations.

Well you should have a lot more confidence because you are beautiful and you are sexy! And you are gonna knock his socks off when you come down that aisle in that dress!
Especially just imagine with your veil and your shoes and your make up and hair done! You are going to look amazing in that dress!

I think you should do alterations because they will fit the dress to your body and in doing so it will hug your lovely waist, and you could get cups sewn in (and/or wear a push up. Try a few undergarments to see what gives you the va va voom you're looking for 😉) With alterations, hair & makeup, & undergarments together changes the look! We're all our own worst critics and the trial photos are usually not the best (at least if you're like me and have no hair pe makeup done 😂)

I get feeling blah, and wanting to look sexy- 2 things we have in common, girl! I have photos of myself leaning over in my dress and everything 🤣 because I was looking for the "sexy" and that's okay!! I can assure you that you can feel incredibly sexy and confident in this dress!! Message me if you want to discuss anything privately! Smiley smile
Do you have pics of the back?? Very curious to see!

Omg our dresses are so similar!

This was me on my wedding day! I had a nice bustier on underneath and that really put everything in its place. I think you look fabulous and the dress looks amazing ON YOU! I think the top looks fine the way it is, I mean you are not all 100% dressed up for your wedding day so there is still going to be a difference. Go to an alterations appointment and see what they recommend and how it looks, they wont make any changes to it until you confirm anyway so it wouldn't hurt. I think you look beautiful and sexy and I think this dress looks really good on you! Don't be scared, I understand its a big choice.

Maybe you could wear a belt to glitz it up, break up the long top a little and accentuate your waist

The back it zipped up fine. It has everything built into the dress so you dont need any bra etc it sucks you in. I just have a gut that hasnt gone away. She said there is no back fat thank god when i tried it on.

I love it!! 😍 and I think low back dresses are very sexy! Sounds like a little alterations (waist & maybe cups) would be all you need! I'd suggest a back drop necklace with this if you wear your hair up! I think they're sexy and if you think so, too, then it's a very easy addition to feel sexier without much work/expensive alterations.

The dress is gorgeous. And I think with alterations and confidence you will be a stunning bride.

BUT this is at least your second thread about this dress, how your fiance hates it and you calling yourself a fat sausage. I doubt that alterations will give you the confidence you need. And I would hate for you to walk down the aisle unhappy, insecure and not feeling beautiful.

How much time do you have left?? I probably wouldn't do alterations but would try to sell the dress (that's easier when it's unaltered) and buy a different dress. Depending how much time you have Azazie, stillwhite.com and consignment shops might be your best bet.
I also disagree that your fiance will love it when he sees you in it. We don't know that. He will still think you are beautiful and will still love you and marry you. But he might not like it. For example l really really don't like white suits. On anybody. 8f my fiance would show up at the altar in a white suit, I would still love him, marry him and think he is handsome but would at the same time hate the suit and wish he would have chosen something else.
A lot of brides say, it's only important how they feel in their dress and if they like it. And that's okay. I hope my fiance will like my dress. I know he will be super excited to see me as a bride but I also want him to really like my dress like I do. Before I went shopping I asked him some questions and showed him some pictures to figure out what he likes. Luckily we have very similar taste. He also told me some no-gos for him like bare shoulders or deep v-neck (due to his culture). He would still marry me in a strapless gown but would be shocked and unhappy with it. So, even some strapless gowns are very beautiful they were off limits to me because I love him and want to make him happy. My dress is still a surprise to him and sometimes I am still nervous if he will like it.

If you can't change or want to change your dress, you might want to have a conversation with your FH and tell him what happened - you showed him pictures if dresses and you had already chosen one that he said he didn't like. Just don't tell him which one. He might tell you that it's not a big deal to him and a weight is lifted of your shoulder and you can love your dress again.
I wish you the best. And you are beautiful. And that dress is beautiful on you. But you have to believe it and own it.
