Plastic dinnerware for BBQ Beach reception, tacky or no?

Hi All!

My wedding reception is on the beach with a BBQ buffet, I was planning on doing nice plastic dinnerware for this. Would that be tacky? I am trying to save on cost as well and i came across a website called www.webstaurantstore.com which seems to have great prices.

    I don't think it will be tacky at all. I had a beach wedding and beach house reception around a pool area and we used plastic for everything, due to the pool. You're not supposed to have glass on the beach in most places anyway. I would do what you're planning. It won't be tacky.

    That's where we're getting our tableware! They have classy looking plastic plates and whatnot, I think as long as it matches your wedding theme/setting, then you'll be fine. Especially with a beach/BBQ wedding.

    Im having BBQ too and also having plasticware. If anyone has an issue, they need to check themselves. I'm getting table cloths from that site Smiley smile

    Is it a casual wedding? If so then I suppose it is ok. I don't think plastic is a good choice for anything semi-formal or formal.

    Not tacky at all! I ordered mine from Amazon and was really pleased by how real they looked!
