Planning your own wedding?

I’m planning my own wedding! I’m loving every second of it but to be fair, we’re having a microwedding so it’s a much smaller scale than the average wedding.

Ha ha! I planned my own wedding too! You are not dumb! And yes lots of work but hiring someone is so expensive! Luckily I do have a day of coordinator. I would buy a weeding planner how to book. They usually have helpful to do lists in there!

Lol! My fiancé and I are going to do everything ourselves. I guess I never really even considered a wedding planner. We’re a year out and it’s already 🤯. I bought a wedding planner from Amazon that gives checklists for 12 months, 10 months out, etc etc.

Yes! I feel you. I'm planning my own and trying to just have fun with it. Been waiting 40+ years so I got alot of ideas and not alot of budget. Everything is so expensive! I did hire a 'day of coord' because I want to actually enjoy my wedding day and I can't rely on anyone else to handle everything. Even though she's a day-of, she has been really helpful when I have questions or need referrals for inexpensive vendors, even though mine's in March 2022. So maybe tap into that person's brain to get insight when you're getting overwhelmed.

I planned my own wedding as well. Not for the faint of heart. Do not recommend lol.

Get some checklists online to make sure nothing gets forgotten. Checking tasks off gives me inner peace lol

I planned my own wedding. But thankfully I had my parents his parents and my aunt really helping us out.

I am, I've never even planned something as small as a birthday party and I had the great idea to plan my own wedding

Psh, I am doing everything myself, and plan on taking full credit when we get compliments on the day, tysm.

I have excel sheets, powerpoints, mood boards, reference link lists, and everyone at Joanne's knows my face. LET'S GO!

My wedding is on Nov 6th, and I did everything. I DIY my wedding it was cheaper to do than hiring a coordinator. But I did hire a day-of coordinator cause I don't want to worry about everything that's going to be going on. I made my centerpieces, cake stand, my sweet table containers, and basically everything else.
