Well it looks like you’re far enough out that you’ve got plenty of time, so that’s good! Do you have any venue ideas yet? Is there a specific vibe or thing you’ve always really wanted?

That sounds amazing! I’m a very type-A person so planning is my thing. You’ve got time, and I know your wedding will be beautiful

It looks like you've got a lot of time still. Have you looked at a planning checklist. I know there's one with this site, but I like The Knot's better. The one on Wedding Wire kinda made me irritated saying so many items were past due. But we're having a short engagement, just got engaged in February and our date is Oct 24.

Definitely get a Pinterest board started if you haven't already. If you're like me and have been pinning all the wedding things for years, go through it again and see what's something you'd still actually like.

You've got time but I think some of the first things to think of are vibe/theme/feel and colors. I like the checklist because I started with thinking about ALL the wedding things, but oh, I don't need to sweat the flowers till then, oh and I have that much time to think about the cake.

I see that you have plenty of time. This site has a great checklist to help you stay focused on what is important as you move along. Try to stay organized and keep lists. Create a budget first, chose your venue and think about the look you want, then go from there. Have fun with it and try not to let is stress you out. Best piece of advice I can give is that most people stress over the little things that guests really don’t pay attention to or even care about so prioritize the things that are important to you and your FH and refer back to them from time to time. For us our priorities were great food, open bar and fun music. Nothing else really mattered in the end so we didn’t stress about things like menus or programs or stuff like that and everyone said our wedding was the most fun they’ve ever had. Good luck!

Remember to take breaks when you need to because wedding planning can seriously get so overwhelming

I think this will be super helpful, and it doesn't require hiring someone for it. I've asked a cousin of mine who's got that great personality to tell people where to be and what to do.
