Planning is done... and the waiting/paying begins...

Laura, on February 5, 2020 at 11:59 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Is anyone else at this place? You've planned, figured out, hired vendors, picked cake, chose dresses (yours and your maids)... And then... nothing.

In a month we'll order invitations, I need a veil and shoes (or I can use the ones I chose from way in the beginning of my engagement). I have my gifts selected for the party, rehearsal location reserved... It's literally money and waiting at this point. Have any of you thought of ways to keep it fun? I'm not having a shower or bachelorette party. And so, I wait... and pay things off. LOL!

Help make this part more fun, please? lol!

What about the little details like centerpieces and signage or guest book and favor ideas?

I am about where you are so I have been spacing out the little things to buy, putting them in a list and purchasing them a little at a time. I have been working with my seating arrangements and the minor decor things. I would suggest just enjoying the down time because they will get stressful again. Lol!! Maybe think about your honeymoon if your having one...we are doing ours about 6 months after our wedding but I am a planner so I have already started looking at ideas and getting prices. That also keeps me excited and busy.

Well done, Laura Smiley smile Do you have any DIY projects to keep you busy? Maybe there was something you initially wanted to create but set it aside?

We have all the major vendor's booked and a few of them paid off. I have been working on a lot of DIY with centerpieces, ceremony decor, gifts for my bridal party, etc. I still need shoes for the ceremony as it's on grass and I'm wearing heels with a point to reception (would sink in the grass). My MOH is planning and has organized bachlorette weekend and FMIL and her sister in law are throwing my Bridal shower, so not much for me to do with either of those events. I'm mainly working as much as I can to pay off vendors.
