Planning Advice?

Sit down with fiance and figure out what is important to you, toss out what isn't. Make a guest list of your nearest and dearest you cannot imagine the day without and decide what you are willing and able to spend. Then search for venues. On a low budget, the parks department will be least expensive. You can call up your favorite local restaurant to provide drop off catering at 1/3 the price of everywhere else and better food.

I'm sticking to a budget, but if I can definitely do LESS then that would be amazing. So, I keep playing around with finances, cutting things out, adding then, cutting out again, etc. Just like what Michelle said, get together with your FH and talk about what you do and don't want. Weddings can definitely be pricey. You can always look into a minimony or microwedding! Growing up I always wanted a BIG wedding, but I had a change of heart as I got older. The reason being is because my mindset about money changed, along with falling in love with the idea of intimate weddings.
Definitely use the Wedding Wire app to help you find venues! If you can find one with a GREAT package that has what you need and meets within your budget then go with it!

The lake sounds beautiful! With a naturally beautiful setting, not a lot of decor is needed with its beauty. I used credit card points to help pay for our wedding.
