I guess it would depend on your guest count. Typically the type of venue would be based upon your guest count, so I would start with a guest list and look for venues you have in mind to contact to see if they have an event space that would accommodate you

I was married in October of 2020 too and next month we're having our reception. We pushed it back due to covid. I would start with a guest list so you can get a count of how many people you want to invite and then find a venue. Start thinking of dates too because venues book up pretty quickly.

A lot of the planning will be similar to planning a wedding reception, just adjust things to your needs!
