Planning a Las Vegas Microwedding- need help!

Kyllie, on May 23, 2019 at 10:37 AM Posted in Nevada Planning 0 5

Hello everyone!

So my FH and I are planning a very small wedding in August- either the beginning or the middle of the month. I know absolutely nothing about wedding planning! We chose Vegas because we have a pretty small budget and thought it would be the best bang for our buck. I'd like to keep the cost of the ceremony or package to around $1000 or less.

I've narrowed down my search to Chapel of the Flowers, Mon Bel Ami Chapel, or Las Vegas Wedding Wagon, but I am open to other suggestions! And if anyone has any experience with those listed, tips or feedback would be great as well! My biggest concerns are the price, and I really want beautiful pictures!

Is August too hot to do an outside Strip Wedding at around 7 or 8pm?

Any hotel recommendations? Looking for one that is not terribly expensive but has a nice pool!

Group lunch/dinner or small reception suggestions? We'd like to do something nice for our families attending the wedding without breaking the bank, and we will only have 9 people total, including us.

And any other advice is greatly appreciated! Feeling a little overwhelmed right now! Smiley smile

Congratulations on your engagement Kyllie! Welcome to the WeddingWire community! It can seem overwhelming when you suddenly have to plan a wedding, but a lot of people in this community are also planning their first wedding so you are certainly not alone!

Have you checked out your chapel option on WeddingWire? You will be able to read reviews from couples previously married there. I’ve linked them below so you can have a look.

I searched in the ideas section for some information or advice for planning a Las Vegas wedding so I have added these also.

I know the feeling! We booked at Chapel of the Flowers, sister company, Tropicana Weddings. It will be held in their courtyard and at 6:30pm. I'm hoping it won't be too warm. But will be doing little fans for the guest gifts. I would love a small reception but may go the dinner route.

I love the idea of little fans, that will be really nice for the guests! Someone gave me the idea of ordering breakfast for all our guests, so I think we will probably end up doing that for people in our suite.

I think an outdoor wedding in August would be too hot at any time, but I’m a wuss when it comes to heat. I’m getting married on July 4th in the chapel at Paris Las Vegas. We are having a dinner afterwards at Maggiano’s in their Barolo room. They do have a room minimum of $850-$1000 I believe depending on the day (weekends are more expensive). They have really reasonable pricing and several of the set menus include a full bar. I’m using one of their preferred florists for decor (very reasonable, like $200) and she told me that goes towards the room minimum as well.
