Pizza at Reception

Not weird at all! I love pizza!!! I’d definitely be happy about this at a reception lol I think it’ll be fine especially since you’re having other foods.

It would only be weird if pizza didn't match the formality of your venue. For example, if your reception is in a nice hotel ballroom and you served pizza, that would feel a little off. As long as it is consistent with the formality of your event, I say go for it! Everyone loves pizza!

Since you'll have other options I think it's fine. Just be mindful of anyone with a gluten or dairy allergy or anyone who is vegan.

Yum I say go for it we are having a pizza station during the cocktail hour. Pizza is kinda our thing (and coffee but not together haha)we made our own pizzas on one of our very first dates and now we have a monthly pizza making party so pizza was a must for us and luckily our venue has a pizza oven on site and does a really awesome pizza and calzones station. I have been to plenty fancy events that had pizza stations/ovens/trucks during the cocktail hour. If you want it have it and enjoy it!

The weddings I ve enjoyed the most are the ones that had some unique touches and included the couples favorite things. So if you guys like pizza have some pizza if some people think its not fancy enough they don't have to eat it. Have fun making your wedding yours

We actually served pizza at our reception. It was a place that brings this brick oven and bakes the pizzas fresh onsite. It was a total hit with our guest. They also served salads and appetizers. We had a simple/small backyard wedding so pizza fit right in.

We're extending our reception by 1 hour and having a wood fired pizza station offered as a late night snack for that.

Pizza sounds delightful!

If you wanted, you could even make it a late night snack - and then formality of your venue is kind of irrelevant - we went to a black tie wedding several years ago at which they had Chicago dogs and White Castle burgers brought in about 10:00.

There will be definitely more options 😌
