Picked our wedding date on opening weekend (hunting)🤦‍♂️

I'd send out save the dates before people apply for tags just so they know My fiance specifically refused a fall wedding since he is usually gone for 3+ weeks at a time between archery elk, rifle deer, and rifle elk!

I ordered them today! Hopefully can’t get them sent soon . It didn’t even cross our minds!

Hunting season opening is one day out of the year. If they can’t skip one day of killing things for your wedding, then they don’t deserve an invite at all.

Hahha my cousin's husband said why are all the weddings during hunting season?! He goes out bow hunting I guess with his son in October. Oh well! Too bad! They have plenty of time to hunt other days!

Yep, one reason we aren't doing a fall wedding. That and football season..

To be quite honest, people who couldn’t take one day out of the entire hunting season to see me get married (hopefully a once in a lifetime event) aren’t people I want at my wedding anyway. I was told by many to not plan my wedding on a Saturday in the fall because of football. I’d rather not pay for dinner for people who would rather watch a football game than see me get married. So, I’m getting married on a Saturday during football season.

Its a stupid excuse, imo. It’s one day out of the year.
