Pic sharing site for guests??

Jessica, on July 2, 2012 at 10:47 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 20

Hey ladies,

I just heard from a friend that there are pic sharing websites we can share with guests!! Something about how you give them cards w/ the address to send the pics to (digtal pics or cam phone pics only I think) and then we as the couple can collect them all?!... It's supposedly a new alterative to the old disposable camera idea... Has anyone heard of this or does anyone know how/where to set this up? I'm super interested!! What an awesome idea!!

I have heard of it. Our wedding web site is on Mywedding.com. (sorry, I set it up before I found WW) It has a page to set it up, but I think its just for iPhones. I'm not sure yet, but I'm going to send an invite through, it to my sister to see. She has an iPhone.

You can buy a custom app for iPhone and android through weddingsnap.com starting at $99. FH have been talking purchasing the app but I think we'll just do the photo booth.

I think you can do this with Flickr, you just have to allow uploading. A pro flickr account it less than $30 for the year. A pro account lets you upload full resolution photos and order prints. Check this link out.

We used our Shutterfly account that was already set up. You can create a "share" page. We made business cards from Vistaprint with the info on them and set them out at the reception and placed them in OOT bags. People can upload their pics and it also allows them to download or order any prints that they may like that other's have potsed. There is a password set up with it so it's private. It's worked very well so far for us.

Im having a hard time finding a site that doesnt make the guest create an account. I wanted a site they can just go to, upload and be done with it. Though every site ive come across, they have to make an account too and I feel thats too much work for the guest?

Weddingturtle.com does not require the guest to create the account. They just search your name and upload to your album and they send you free cards with the link for the guests. I have signed up for mines and used it for another wedding and I love it.

If you have a number of Apple Device users there's an app called Wedding Party. It is amazing and free. Guest can post and comment directly to your wedding site.

We're using wedding turtle. The site and our password is on our "I spy" cards. I hope people use it and I'm excited to see what other people post.

We did this. We just used Snapfish, because then people could order prints of pics if they wanted.

We printed up business cards with the information and password. We only have 4 guests upload pictures, but they were all pretty good pictures.

I set a site up for Shutterfly, but now the sharing isn't there (I'm hoping it's just down). Does anyone know anything about Shutterfly? Is it free? Are there limits? When I first set it up, it seemed so easy.
