Once Upon a First Date...   The story of "US" began on the night of our first date... Only we weren't on a date with each other! I met Shawn during my first venture into Arbutus MD, at Fish Head Cantina. I was meeting up with a guy for a first date & I was informed by my date that I would be meeting up with him and several of his friends... Two of which, according to him, turned out to be having their 'first date' together that night as well! As luck would have it both of our 'dates' fizzled out after only a few meetings, but most of us remained friends! After some 'friendly' emailing and texts between us, Shawn asked me to meet him for dinner one night, and we've basically been inseparable ever since! And I know that we BOTH are eternally grateful not only for fate bringing us together, but just like the song says for the 'broken roads' that have lead us to one another! We've not only ended up with great friends, but with each other and a relationship that is sure to sustain us for the rest of our lives. Who'd have thought that a 1st date gone bad could end in all this??...
