Photographer Not responding to emails?

Hey guys, I attempted to hire a photograper via emails recently. But they will only respond if I call their office (and usually the assistant makes up an excuse. I am getting fed up because I emailed them how much is the deposit and I have recieved zero contact from them in two weeks. (I decided not to call to see how long it takes them to reply without asking.) Is it wrong to email another photographer? Like I am freaking out at this point I need to book someone.

That is a huge peeve of mine. Respond to your email. It's not that hard! If someone that I plan to be paying won't respond to a business email, they aren't getting my business.

You need to move on! You want to be excited to work with the person you're hiring and you want them to be excited as well. Our photographer always emailed back promptly and seemed genuinely excited to shoot our wedding

@Elizabeth You need to look at your contracts right now! Photographers usually have a clause that you, the client, are not allowed to hire another professional or they can walk right out on you. Reevaluate this decision. You might end up with no photographer at all.

@Emiley Agree with everyone else. Find another photographer!
