Photobooth Time

Nicole, on December 1, 2019 at 12:41 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

How long did you have your photobooth for? The cheapest package is 3 hours, but is that enough time? We'll be having around 200-250 guests. Our cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm, I was thinking of having the photobooth open for an hour, and then reopen after dinner around 8:00pm until 10:00pm. The reception ends at 11:30pm. Does that seem okay?

That's a lot of to do. You'll have so much on your plate already. I'd just open it for the entire 3 hours after dinner.

I had this same issue, I just asked my vendor. She basically told me what people usually do. I wanted mine open during the cocktail hour but she basically told me that with dinner/toasts/dances your guests will be busy and the booth would get much use. So basically it would kind of be a waste from cocktail to dinner when everyone is busy eating. Also something to check if the vendor charges "idle time". This would basically be when the booth is set up but no in use. Mine will be open for three hours during the reception only. (From 9-1100, reception ends at midnight.)

Can you actually break up the 3 hours like that? They attendants would still need to be there so I I would guess they’d charge you for more time. I would just do 8-11.

    Hi Jean!

As the pps mentioned, I definitely think that it would be more beneficial to your guests and easier for you if you have the photo booth open for the full three hours after dinner. Guests will want to mingle and catch up with each other over cocktail hour so it may not actually get that much use during this time.

200 guests is a large amount. Is it an option to add the extra hour? I had a magic mirror photo booth for 4 hours (closed only while the vendors ate) with only 110 guests (including kids) and there was ALWAYS a line for it. If its not an option or its out of budget then i would just open it from 8-11 after dinner Smiley smile
