Photo Booth – yes, no or neutral?

Recent brides, did it get used? Would you spend the money if you had to do it over again?

As a guest.... do you always make time to jump in the booth?

They are fairly reasonably priced these days ($425 for 4 hours, per my research). Also it seems they send the newer styles which aren’t really a booth at all, but rather the portable machine with backdrop. This will make it easy to place in my likely packed reception.

But, would love thoughts before I place my deposit.

I think they're fun and will use one if it's available at a wedding, but I'm also not super bummed if there's not one.

We got married and July and we had a photobooth. It was a huge hit. Almost all of our guests used it and now we have a nice book that people put their photos in since they got multiple copies of the photos as well as cute messages they wrote.

It was also nice for people that don't dance.

I had one. Loved it. As a guest I'd also always jump into one if they're there but you're right that it's not necessary

I’ve been to 2 weddings with them. Each time I felt everyone was waiting on the booth and not not dancing. Like the dance floor was EMPTY!! So I say No.

Not necessary, but added fun and like Veronica above said, you get another photo album of unique pictures.

We are opening ours during cocktail hour to start the flow and keeping it open through the night
