Photo Booth. Yay or Nay

I personally think they're overdone and tacky so we are skipping it.

You don’t need one at all you can easily DIY one there’s so many ideas on Pinterest and WW I’ve seen, FH and I.did not want one at first because of how e pensive they are but my dad found our DJ who includes a photo booth in one of his packages that the price was so good we couldn’t say no! They make for favors and we’re going to get a book where people can add in their photo strips and sign it! Plus we can customize the strips and it’s a great idea for taking a break from dancing!

We originally planned for one and now we're not doing one because I feel like it's a waste.

I am certainly going to do a cheap version of a photobooth for sure like the PP. I just cant afford it. I had one booked and had to cancel it. I need the money for everything else. It has added up really quickly

Ours is like $650 but we have them for 3 hours and we upgraded to the package where there are unlimited prints and we get a CD of them after. Ours also come with props, a custom design on the photo strip, folders to put them in, and guests will also be able to email photos and boomerangs to themself

I think you should get one! We are having one and the person is making a photobook out of all the photos, also they are able to write sweet little notes if they want.

No not necessary, but they are a lot of fun! Also, your guests can print their string of photos, and it's like a favor.

We found a DJ that had a photo booth as part of his package, so we went for it!

My FH is a surprisingly a huge fan of photo booths. He actually hates photos being taken of himself but he really enjoys the booths. I think it gives him an extra reason to be goofy.

I didn't like any of the pricing I came across but I have seen some options at friends/cousins weddings that were different but not really a booth. They had a table set-up with props, than a backdrop and one photographer that was using some kind of system where it auto took the photos and you picked a background and it printed the photos right than and there. Pretty neat!

I don't think a photo booth is necessary for a wedding but it's a fun activity.

They aren't necessary but they are fun! We are doing our own using this DIY frame ( https://www.downhomeinspiration.com/10-10-minutes-diy-photo-backdrop/ ) for $13, not $10 but close enough. Took me literally 7 minutes to put together. We will get curtains to hang on the top bar and bought garland and flowers from Michaels since they are having a huge 50% off spring flower sale. I will use my tablet and tripod. It will end up costing about $50.

I was able to print all my props at work for free and even made a polaroid frame, also for free.

Our reception is only 2 hours so there will be no dances. Mostly just eating and mingling so we wanted to have something easy but fun for everyone.

You don't need them, but they're fun if you can fit them in your budget. We found a DJ/Photo Booth package we liked. It was a little pricier than we wanted, but since I only spent $200 on my dress, we put some of my dress budget towards the Photo Booth.

Thanks Michelle. I almost got two freebies but I had to book my event that night in order to get the other. Right now I am looking for a reasonable photography.

I do not think that they are necessary. We did get one for 4 hours that came along with our DJ package. I think they're super fun.

Our DJ provides a photobooth as an option so we are using it and def will be utilizing it as a favor option for our guests

Mine is around $325 for 2 hrs and it's a full booth. I think we tacked on additional price for custom strips but that was most affordable I found near me! I figured I only needed 2 hrs for my amount of guests because our reception is only 4 hrs. So take away one hour for dinner and then open the photobooth and one hour of dancing at the end of the evening. I only will have 115 guests invited so you figure with all the groupings people will do that's plenty of time. Every wedding I have been to it's pretty much in and out no problem.

We're getting one. The DJ is a family friend who has a photobooth, and said he'd bring it if we agreed to just pay the cost of supplies (paper, ink), so I said yes! Not sure if I would have it if I had to pay full price, but it seems like a fun addition.

This is not a necessity but it is a YAY for us, because this will serve as our favors and I always enjoy photo booths at weddings.

We're still entertaining the idea as well. ive seen some really well done booths and then some that totally bombed. comes down to how you want to set up your wedding. do you want people to hang out in the photobooth, on the dance floor, or explore your venue.

How do you go about setting up a diy photo booth?
I didn’t even think about that.
I saw serveral ideas on Pinterest. However some that involved an ipad to be able to email the photos as well, some with instax, and then some with just a camera/tripod or even someone’s phone. This issue I’m thinking of is someone damaging the property. (Hopefully not; however it’s always a possibility especially when people are drinking; simply bumping into it etc).
So do y’all have any suggestions/advice as to ways around this and steps on how to go about it correctly?
