Photo booth? Overdone or still fun??

Thinking about doing a photo booth but I wonder if that is an old trend?? I want to have options for things for my guests to do so they are never bored. We have lawn games already but I want to add something else to do. So yay or nay on the photo booth and I would love to hear any other fun...

Ok so i see a couple negative comments about the lawn games so im wondering what people have against them. I would say our wedding is a little casual. I wouldnt describe it as "casual" per say but far from formal! Our wedding will be very rustic and intimate. 100 guests at an outdoor venue that is like a garden with a waterfall/pond, twinkling lights, lanterns, farm tables, etc. the lawn games will be set up next to the cocktail hour area but the ceremony, reception, cocktail site and dance floor are all a few yards apart from each other so it will be easy to guests to go to whichever area they want to. so if they dont want to dance they can go play games or go to the photobooth and never be too far from the party. and my family plays corn hole all the time! but we are building a nicer one with our monogram on it and all that

I'm over them. Seems like you do it once and as the night goes on the same drunk people are in it all night.

Jessica - same! Im doing lawn games too. They fit into our wedding theme/atmosphere. And its fun!!! Hell i will be in my wedding dress playing cornhole! It doesnt matter what you have on to have fun! I am not a formal person at all. And neither are my guests/family. And I am also doing a photobooth. Ill be making my own prop though. ( my choice) And my photographer will have someone doing the pictures.

I think they are fun if they are run by a professional. I went to one set up with an iPad and tomato is the guests spent 5-10 minutes each with it. The line literally didn't move the entire night. If people take a pic and move on it's one thing, but unattended people sometimes will use every prop and call every person they know to join them. Half of the guests at Thai wedding never even had a chance to get pics.

I think Photobooths are fun. We will have one at our wedding and the photo strips will be used as party favors! Fun and party favors for 1 price lol

Literally everything about weddings could be called "overdone." Like oooo cake cutting? Sooooo "overdone"!! Who cares. I'm having one because I think they're fun and I won one at a bridal expo!

Have you thought about a Slow Motion Video Booth? I don't know where you are located, but I would check it out in the area!

Over done, but still fun. I see them at nearly every wedding I shoot. There was a time when it was new, and the thing nobody else is doing vibe. But now I think it's just integrated into what people do for weddings, no different than favors, cake, etc. So as a fad and niche thing, overdone, as a part of what you do for a wedding, tons of fun. I hope all of that makes sense.

A photo booth is a perfect source of entertainment and building memories in a wedding. I think one should have the photo booth for their big day. I would suggest Captured Photobooths
