Phoenix Icehouse Venue/City Wedding ?'s

Hey fellow brides!

We are absolutely in love with the Icehouse Venue in downtown Phoenix but have a few concerns. Have any of you held an event there or know of someone who has?

We are mainly concerned about parking! There is just a small 30ish car lot in front and other than that it seems to be fend for yourself city parking. Has anyone else held a city wedding where parking was an issue and what did you do?

Hey Kylie, what advice does the venue have for parking? If they frequently host events they must know what other groups have done for parking options, do they have any advice, do they offer valet, maybe they have a deal with a local parking facility?

And we'd love it if you set an avatar image so that we can get to know you a bit better, it'll help us recognize you while you post around the forums

I do not drive to weddings because of the whole drinking thing. Can you get a shuttle for your out of town guests from the hotel and encourage in town guests to take taxis or ubers because of limited parking?

Due to the venue being primarily an art gallery they aren't super helpful regarding things like this! They don't host many weddings and they are near concert venues so any weekend all parking is typically taken up by those events it seems!

We don't have many out of town guests and those that are will be staying with the rest of my family in Gilbert I believe, which is about an 45-60 minutes out so Shuttle/Uber would be a bit too much I think!

We are still checking out other venues, it's such a bummer, I wish we could pick up the Icehouse and place it somewhere else!
