Hello everyone! I just got engaged and I am planning wedding now. We’re currently looking at getting married in the spring of 2021 and we want a secret garden theme. We want to be able to hang flowers and extra lighting from the ceiling so we are looking for venues that already have the rigging equipment in house. We really don’t we want to have to pay to rent trusses. Does anyone know of a venue that has the rigging equipment? Probably some kind of performance location because truss are typically used for sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That looks fenomenal!! Might be hard to find, but could you maybe pick out a few favorite venues and call to see if they have it?

Honestly, I don’t know where to start. I’ve looked through all the venues on wedding wire and wedding spot and nothing seems to fit. I’ve looked through tons of picture haven’t found anything similar.

How about this one? It doesn't have the rigs exactly, but it has the black bars. Looks like you should be able to hang stuff from there

I second The Fillmore. They do weddings. I believe they also own/are affiliated with Punch Line, which also does weddings.
23rd Street Armory - It's quite large but also inexpensive and a blank slate so you could really dress it up. - http://www.23rdstreetarmory.org/
Power Plant productions - We looked here and really liked it but it was too small for us. Not sure what they can accommodate but they had pretty tall ceilings. - http://www.powerplantproductions.com/

You could look into the venues Jeffrey Miller Catering offers. There are a bunch in and around the Philadelphia area. We are getting married at the John James Audubon Center and we have hanging floral installations going up! The outdoor area is also filled with greenery for pictures but with a modern interior! Good luck!!

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but we are getting married at Morris House Hotel in Philadelphia. It’s literally a secret garden and we’re adding greenery to the tent. Congrats + Good luck!

It might be worth it to see if any venues have industrial themes instead of rigs. I say that because a lot of places are now opening with industrialized ceilings (the new "thing") which makes hanging easier but still looks completely elegant on the actual floor. I live in Canada, but a place nearby called LAGO Bar/grill hosts weddings with that kind of theme. Take a look at the website to see if places near your area are similar because it could really make your planning 100x easier
