We are paying for all of it ourselves. I saved so much over the summer and have a wedding savings account that I put a little of each paycheck into.

We pay with cc to get the points any time we can and then pay our cc back immediately with our wedding fund.
In addition to my full time job, I also have a part time job working at a university. FH also works full time and has a side gig when he gets home.
    It’s exhausting!

We’re saving a certain amount each paycheck and we both are getting decent tax returns. A lengthy engagement also helps.

A budget wedding is the route we decided to go down. We have had a few family members offer their help and support, and that has helped immensely.

My parents gave us around 25% of the total and FH and I are paying for the rest. We looked at how much we could afford to save each month and set a budget from there. I have auto transfers to my savings account so I never have to physically transfer money and I don't even see it. We've had to be disciplined in leaving the money alone unless it's for the wedding. We've utilized travel points on my chase sapphire card by charging some wedding stuff to it but I immediately pay it off. By doing this, we're able to pay for the flights for our honeymoon in full!

We are splitting wedding costs with my parents, but it's still a significant amount. We have been engaged a little over a year now and are getting married in November of this year. We have had time to save. We have budgeted and want to pay for everything upfront. I really don't want to accumulate debt from the wedding.

By the time of the wedding, our engagement will have been 7-1/2 months long. We decided from the beginning, we will not be going into debt because of a wedding. We are paying for everything except the flowers, my hair and makeup, and rehearsal dinner. Together we set a budget, decided how much we needed to save a month to get there, and then just cut costs from our lives so we could get there. We will be using some of the bonus from our jobs to pay for it as well. But essentially all in cash. We both have good jobs, but it's still be hard to save that much money a month.

My parents are paying for 95% of the wedding. I've bought some of the decorations, but I've probably only spent about $1,000. My FILs are paying for the rehearsal dinner. Super blessed we have parents that didn't want us to worry about the finances! We're paying for our honeymoon, but we used my credit card miles to get our flights for right around $125 total (they would've been around $900).

You have plenty of time, so SAVE SAVE SAVE! My FH and I will have had a 21 month engagement when it's said and done. My FH and I found our venue early so we had a starting point of what our savings needed to look like over the course of wedding planning.

Make a list of all the things that are important to you and then do some research on what those items and services are going to cost.

My FH and I have saved EVERY WEEK to make what we want happen, happen.

Our venue actually only accepts cash, money order, or cashier's check so we really don't have a choice but to save, which we planned on saving at least 2k a month. We have a separate bank account for wedding money that we don't touch. We did use a credit card on little stuff, but not to the point where we can't pay it off. It's really tough because we love to eat out a lot and go places, but we had to cut back for now.

My parents have been helping A LOT, which we are very grateful for. Even with that however, we went over budget and the final cost for the venue was more than we expected. We putting about $5,000 on a credit card, but will pay it off ASAP. This gives me anxiety, but there's not really any other way to pay for it at this point!

We had a 2 year engagement but didn’t start planning/saving till about a year out. I worked a lot of OT for 2 months and my FH is an electrician and did side jobs. We have been able to pay for almost everything, we have 75% of the money for our reception/food in savings which is all we have left to pay off. Recently my grandmother gifted me $800 towards my dress which was awesome and has allowed us to have a photo booth. My FH Godmother just called us and said she wanted to pay for our cake, our baker will be refunding us that money and we will use it towards our food. We are blessed to not have to go into debt and are able to have the wedding we want.

I would NEVER have considered a loan or other type of financing. We tailored our wedding to fit our budget, and our budget was built from a combination of savings and money we knew we could set aside each month until the wedding. 100% paid for by ourselves without any debt. Did we have a small wedding because of these limits? Yes and absolutely zero regrets about that.

My fiance and I are saving as much as we can each month into saving. We are paying for venue/catering and my parents are chipping in for the outside vendors (ie: photo, dj, flowers). The rest like decor, makeup, and such im paying as I go...

We paid for it all ourselves with joint savings. We luckily did not have to put anything on credit or have any debt for it. Our friends that got married just after us however did have to use some savings and some credit but they paid it all off right after the wedding.

Parent contributions. Thankfully or we would've just went to the courthouse (which I was all about but my fiance wasn't lol) The rest is on us. We both have 2 jobs so we are trying to set money aside. And will reimburse most of the wedding cost to our families.

My father paid for most of it, my mother & stepfather paid for the rest. My father in law & step mother in law paid for the rehearsal dinner. We paid for our honeymoon.

We’re paying all cash for our wedding. Im fortunate that my parents, my biological father and my grandmother are all willing to contribute. My fiancé and I both picked up a side job to ensure we do mess up our savings outside of the wedding savings and deposits. I also get 2 bonuses throughout the year as well as our income taxes.
