Are any of you ladies afraid that you’ll get your period on your wedding day? I don’t know what my cycle will be 9 months from now and I don’t feel like counting days lol I just get really bad migraines so I’m teally hoping I don’t get it on my special day!

I’m on the pill so I was able to count weeks and I figured out i would be right in the middle of my cycle so no period but I may be ovulating. Thank goodness! I would not want to deal with that.

Well, not ovulating bc of the pill. But that timeframe anyway.

I have an IUD so my cycle is pretty clockwork. So there is a better chance of me not being on (and if I am, it’ll be light) so I’m less worried.

I have a friend who just took the pill over the time to make sure that she wouldn’t be on

I got my period that evening. Fortunately the first day is usually pretty light so it didn't affect me during the reception. But I also had a cold so the combination of the two was no fun! Good thing we just stayed home the first week after the wedding and took our honeymoon later!

Yes! I'm worried about this especially if I decide to go with a tight fitting dress. Fingers crossed though

We knew we wanted to get married in March and then we just picked which Saturday I thought would be the safest! I usually start at the very end or the beginning of the month so I think I'll finish just a couple days before the wedding!

I am. I wasent concerned 6 months ago. They were mid month and always been like that. This month it switched to the 4th. 11 days early. My wedding is on dec 1st then going to Disneyland so by my count I should get it the last day of our honeymoon but still worried it's going to be on the 1st. I hope not because I have pcos and during my cycle I'm in tremendous pain and take painkillers during which means no champange Smiley sad

I didn’t plan around my period but was happy it was supposed to come about a week after the wedding. Then, while doing hair and makeup that morning, it showed up. Honestly, it wasn’t that big a deal. One of my friends went to buy me tampons (we had a destination wedding so I hadn’t planned for this AT ALL) and we all laughed and groaned about it and then I went on and got married and we had a great time. It’s not ideal but we’ve all been living with this for a long time and it’s not much more than a minor inconvenience for most. Don’t let it spoil your day.

The easiest way to avoid having your period on your wedding/honeymoon is to take birth control pills (usually free on insurance) and skip the placebo week which should mean you'll skip your period.

My wife was on hers. I wasn’t. It wasn’t a big deal a regular part of life we made it work! But people do the birth control thing that works.

I just realized I will be on my period and it will be day 1 or 2 Smiley cry I am so sad. I am not on BC because, due to health reasons, we are TTC. May the odds be in my favor.

Mine have always been abnormal, so I do have some worry. I never know when i'll have one, and i'm in pre-menopause so it's always a surprise. I do plan to try and "help it come" the beginning of the month so it'll end before the wedding day. I find if I drink raspberry tea, both iced and hot it moves it out of me. I've done it before when I have something coming up and don't want an unwanted visitor!

sharing some love on multiple forums on period topic... if you cant stop a period you can hide it... better then a tampon/ last longer between changes and you can have clean sex with one in... he wont even notice it, been using for 2 years and the first year he was clueless until i told him about it.. now he tells his friends about it and they tell thier wives/girlfriends ( its funny listening to him try to explain it lmao.).. its a game changer.
