Omg, what a nightmare. Vitamin C! You can even take Vitamin C tablets. That's supposed to really help.

Get to the doctor asap for the cold as they can hopefully give you something. Drink lots of green tea with honey. Take hot showers. As for the period, sorry Smiley sad

I've been tracking mine for the past 3 years on an app so I had an idea when I would get mine... looks like I'm in the clear for the wedding. I know you can't do that now, but go out and buy lots of pads/tampons. And pull out a comfy pair of underwear for the wedding day (sucks you can't wear cute stuff but god with the period... comfort over cuteness especially for a heavy day!). Hopefully you have a ballgown and not a mermaid for your wedding dress? Something you can easily get the skirts up. Pack lots of midol if you get cramps! So sorry OP!!! Feel better soon!

Zicam. Now. The cough drop-type ones are disgusting but the rapidmelts aren't bad.

I had a sore throat and was feeling shitty 5 days before my wedding. I emailed my friend who's husband is a doctor and he recommended as much Zicam as you can stomach and if I was still feeling crappy he'd prescribe me something.

But he also said that the closer you get, the more your adrenaline will kick in and you won't even feel it. And he was right! So good luck!!!

EmergenC packets, lots of sleep and a decongestant. Drink tons of water and try some eucalyptus oil in your shower. Good luck!

Don't waste your time at the doctor. They might give you antibiotics but you don't need them for a cold. Emergen-c twice a day, lots of fluids and as much rest as you can get. Also start an allergy pill asap.

Maybe also TMI, but I find that if I drink a ton of water it seems to help "flush" my period out faster. That will also be good for cleaning out your cold. I personally also take Airshield (CVS off-brand of Airborne...tastes better and is way cheaper) and it does wonders for staying healthy. It is packed with good vitamins.

Zinc, vitamin C, Advil (or something like it, it will help with cramps and the inflammation in your throat), lots of water and tea or hot water with lemon. And rest! Delegate as much as you can to those you trust.

Colloidal silver is a great natural antibiotic, has stopped a few colds in its tracks for me before. Find it at a health store.

Nothing to add to the great suggestions here, but good luck and feel better!

Meanwhile, my period's 5 days late (I'm not super regular anyway), and it's stressing me out...

I know it's gotten bad press, but those airborne tablets have been known to help during colds. kind of a all the right stuff in one capsule.

onions have been suggested to me when i have a cold, and I think they help. even before I heard that, whenever I got a cold I would get so hungry for perogies with fried onions. Smiley smile

Zicam or some other sort of zinc supplement ASAP. Lots of vitamin C, rest, and fluids. If it is a cold, the doctor can't help you. Colds are viruses and anti-biotics do nothing for viruses (only bacterial infections), there is no cure for a cold, just things to help with the side effects. I am sorry to hear about both of these things. Getting sick or your monthly visitor are both things brides dread for their day, let alone both. There is nothing you can do about the lady issue now other than prepare to manage it.

For those of you who are worried about your day falling on that time of the month, if you are on birth control, ask your OBGYN if you are on the proper type of pill to skip your sugar pill week and likely not get your period that time. I track mine on an app too, and mine is set to fall right around the wedding day, but for sure for the HM. I didn't want to deal with that, so I had my OBGYN switch me from a type of pill that starts with a higher dose of hormone and goes lower every week until the sugar pill week, to the kind that has the same level of hormone all 3 weeks so that I can skip my sugar pills for the wedding and hopefully be in the clear. The reason I mention the different types of pills is that my doc told me that if you skip your sugar pill on the tiered type of hormone pill that you will still likely get your period and is why she switched my pill, for the time being anyway.
