That’s when it’s best to just tell those people this is what I want and that’s that. And then don’t tell them further details about your wedding

What do you mean exactly? Are they in contact with your vendors? Are they paying for portions/all of the wedding? If there answer is no, then they literally cannot orchestrate anything for the wedding. "That isn't going to work for us." "That's not what we've decided." "Thank you, but I have it handled." "No." Then change the subject or drop it. If they continue to ask, rinse and repeat, leave if you have to.

If they're paying for some or all of the event, but they're organizing things in a way your not comfortable with, it's not worth taking their money. You can decline their payment and plan a wedding you love for what you can afford.

The maid of honor is telling the rest of the girls that we are going to do this and that. I wanted my venue because it is beautiful and right around the corner from my house. Now she has told people we will be staying in a hotel the night before that’s almost 45 mins away. I am the one who has to meet my vendors and set up the place. I can’t be late or everything won’t get done. I have told her I wanted all the girls to stay at my house and now she is trying to change it.

Sorry, the maid of honor is trying to change where you're staying the night before? You can't really control where people are going to want to stay the night before the wedding (they may want to stay with their significant others), so you can tell her "this is what's open to all the girls {your house for free] but let me know if you're choosing other accommodations." That's definitely not something to stress over. MOH should not be dictating general new plans to others and should be talked to. "If you want to stay somewhere else, that's one thing, but you obviously cannot tell an entire group of people 'this is the new plan' when it's definitely not the new plan."

Was this your main concern as far as people trying to take over the wedding?
