Peeing in a fitted dress

Breanna , on June 13, 2017 at 6:52 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 34

The one wedding related thing that I'm currently stressed about is how I'm going to pull off peeing in my fitted wedding dress. I can't pull it up over my hips, and it buttons in the back (very tedious). I'm wondering if anyone has any special tips and tricks/advice for me so that I don't have to take it off completely every time I have to pee.

THANKS!

Sit face the back of the toilet. Go practice it. It's easier then you think!

@duchess she said she can't pull it up over her hips.... how do you expect her to be able to do that?

is there a way a zipper could be sewn in and have illusion buttons, if just so for loosening the dress enough to pull it up?

It does have a small section of zipper over my butt/hips area... so maybe if I unzip that it'll give me a little room to wiggle. I'll have to practice that!

How fitted are we talking? It still should be loose enough so you can sit during the reception, and if it is, you should have just enough wiggle room to get it up over your hips. It wasn't easy in mine but I managed with the help of a bridesmaid

I legit did not pee once I put my dress on. Which probably isn't good...

I'd definitely try undoing the little zipper.

How fitted is your dress? Can you sit comfortably? My dress was fitted and I went pee with no issues. My mom helped me hold it up.

My dress is fitted but it's just a zipper back. Maybe alterations can add more of a zipper

My dress was fitted, and had buttons all down the back. Unzip it and practice. You'll be facing the toilet and straddling it. Have one of your BMs or someone you're close to seeing you ass out help you.

If none of those work for you, you may have to step out of the dress go to the bathroom and get back into it which would be a real bitch.

There is no way you could get the bridal buddy slip and make it work?

This answer may be no help, but I had the same situation and I was worried for months over it. I usually go to the bathroom **** times a day. However, on my wedding day , full of champagne, I didn't pee ONCE. It was unbelievable. I was so preoccupied with no wasting a minute , I didn't even realize I never peed. Haha if I did, I planned on having someone help me take the dress totally off. I didn't see another way.

I had the same fears-my dress was extremely fitted with a corset back. Even with all the drinks I had, I surprisingly didn't have to pee. I waited until we got to the hotel.

Sadly, you can't count on not needing to pee. (Like PPs, I normally pee all the time but I didn't for 8 hours my first wedding, but not counting on that miracle again!)

So I'd go with practice definitely makes perfect on this one!!

The very last thing I did before putting on my dress was use the bathroom. I didn't pee again until we were at the hotel after the wedding.

Surprisingly, I went right before I put on my dress and didn't need to go again until the wedding was over.

I plan on putting my teacher bladder to good use and not have to go until the end of the night. If I do, I'll have a couple of my BMs help me. One owes me big time. TMI but... I had to hold her dress while she changed her tampon at her wedding.

I was also super concerned about having to pee with the dress on since it was fitted around the hips as well, but I went before putting it on & didn't even think about having to go again until we got back to the hotel.

    Don't drink anything all day.

JK. Practice and see what works. Maybe even your seamstress will have a tip
