Party Favors Double Face Idea

Mariana, on September 4, 2019 at 10:14 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6
Hi everyone! Just wanted to update you on the party favors. We're making keychains made of macrame brown sack string and heart or round shaped wood figures with our wedding date on one side but here's the debate. We have no idea what to add on the other side. We thought about "F&M" but we didn't like the idea of people having something with our initials in their home or even if they're gonna throw it away. On the other hand, our wedding's style is bohemian country since we live on the country BUT my future husband is a little GoT freak just like me (I'm just obsessed with the names, series and books but that's it) and pleaded me to add one and another GoT detail. I loved the idea, and the bohemian country theme is still the whole point but for those who have seen the series, well let's say they'll notice the small GoT details throughout the wedding and venue. He gave me the idea to make on the other side the "GOT" logo initials with its respective font. I draw and am mainly doing everything hand made, so he thinks I would nail the logo. What do you guys think? Have any ideas on what to write on the back of the wood figure keychains?
Ps: Besides the keychain, they'll have 3 gold chocolate coins (A Lannister always pays his debts) and wedding mints (they have lovely 'thank you' messages on them). Also thinking on buying little bottles of water and adding them to the party favor bag for a safe ride back home.

    Hey Mariana!

I love that you are making these favors yourself, it makes them so personal for each of your guests! I’m sure you would be able to recreate the GoT logo on the back of these keychains. My only reservation is that not all of your guests will be as big fans as you both are. Is there something symbolic from GoT that you could add to the other side that isn’t as explicit as the logo that would encourage guests that are not huge fans to also use them?

That being said, if it fits in with the theme of your wedding and you guys love the idea, then go for it!

That's a really good point of view! In a way, it's why I didn't go full and do it from the first time he mentioned it. It's a good idea, but not everyone likes that series. Plus the decor details are ones that only people who notice and look closely will see because the wedding isn't GoT themed completely after all. I'm still thinking on other options. Thank you for your point of view 🥰 it opened mine.

Thank you 😭❣ Actually I am. I'm adding some details to the glasses for the toast, I also decorated the wedding party shot glasses since our toast will be made with craft beer and a shot of "pitorro" which is used as sort of an introduction to Christmas here in PR hahaha. People make it in different kinds of flavors and it's part of the Christmas celebrations here for almost every puertorrican to actually spend their whole Christmas drinking that lol from almond and vanilla flavor, to pistachio, chocolate, tamarind and my favorite, coffee. I'm also diy'ing a palette with our schedule, our table decorations and my mom's diy'ing the table centerpieces with "Medalla" bottles, wood, salsa jars and tequila 1800 bottles. My FH and I met at a bar and I made it a tradition to go every weekend alone, learn more about craft beers, have a tequila shot and of course, having an excuse to see him without admiting I liked him 😂 That's why most of our decor is beer/alcohol/bar related.
