Party favor ideas

Please share your wedding guest favor ideas, with pics if you have any. Is it imperative that we even bother? I’m leaning toward skipping the favors.

Lots of people skip favors. So many guests leave them behind and/or don't want something personalized with your names/wedding details. I think there's a general consensus on WW to go for edible favors Smiley smile

We're doing $1 lottery tickets in cute holders (from Etsy) which say "We tied the knot, now we hope you hit the jackpot!". Unique and affordable. And, worse come to worse and people don't take them, we'll have some scratch-offs to play after the wedding Smiley laugh

Favors are definitely not necessary, and I truly believe if you're going to do any at all, they should be edible - otherwise, they tend to get left behind. For example, we are doing a cookie table at our wedding where guests will be able to take home bags of cookies with them.

We are having a lot of friends at our wedding since we both have small families, so we are doing custom made shot glasses so everyone can have a shot and take home the glass, were party people.

Hi Karen! You absolutely do not need to have favors at your wedding! While they are a nice gesture, they are certainly not required! If you did choose to have favors, you may want to check out this helpful article: 18 Wedding Favor Ideas That Aren't Useless (or Boring!) Smiley smile

I know it's an unpopular thing in the WW community but we have non-edible favors and I'm very excited about them.
FHs aunt makes these pysanky and they're gorgeous.

We are doing can koozies and chapsticks for favors. Stuff that pretty spot on for my FH and I, while also being practical for guests (beers at the wedding will be served with a koozie). The cost ended up being not too much for the basic stuff we wanted, so we figured to just go with having them there.

If I end up with 50 chapsticks at the end of the night at least I will never have to buy them again for the rest of my life.

These are beautiful! I don't think favors are mandatory. Just a nice extra.

We did personalized marble coasters that served as placecards too. We also did wine charms. Almost all of our crowd are wine drinkers and I wanted them to be able to find their glass all night, in case they set it down.

We're skipping favors and instead making donations to charities that are meaningful to us as a couple. Along with the centerpieces, we will be adding a card that thanks our guests for attending and explain which charity we're donating to in their honor.

After dozens of wedding I've only kept one favor. Others were either pointless or left behind because I didn't even know there were favors.

Plus it saves you time and money form not assembling them :-)

We're giving fortune cookies as our favors. There could be a few other things, but they'll be edible.

Budget allowing, we are hoping to do mini bottles of maple syrup because we got engaged in VT and are having a brunch wedding. The budget is about $4-$5 per guest including the syrup bottles, shipping, and little tags that say thank you. Guest count is about 100 and it's a little silly to spend $400-$500 on syrup but... dang is it cute!

We may also do a cookie table (big hi to all the PGH brides here!!) and encourage people to take cookie boxes.

I think it's great that the prior poster suggested a charity donation. A at a recent wedding I attended, the couple did something that combined edible favors and charity donation -- they gave each guest just a few brightly-colored wrapped candies in a cellophane bag with a note that said "Thank you for coming to our wedding. In recognition of our families joining, a donation has been made to Families Belong Together" in English and Spanish. It was great and very memorable.

We did a popcorn bar and had bottles of water and soft drinks to feed people after drinking all night.

We're planning on these matchbooks. I think they're super cute, and if people dont take them, I know we'll work our way through them lol. They're also budget friendly

These were ours. Hershey kisses in the pillow box. Got them off Amazon. For 70 favors, we spent less than $80. Not a single one left. I actually got messages later on how much people loved them. The boxes, bottle openers (4 different designs) and tags all came together. I bought the red ribbon to tie around it.
