Panties? Are they necessary?

I'm not sure what the general opinion of this is going to be, but I also don't really care. I'm considering going without panties for a few reasons. 1. I'm considering going without panties for a few reasons.
1. Saving time going to the bathroom, because it's got to be a pain in a wedding dress getting your panties off and then back on in the right place.
2. Saving some cash. We all know that undergarments especially good ones are ridiculously expensive.
3. Panties always make these terrible lines on me ever when it's a thong and I'd rather not worry about it in my wedding dress.
4. Not being able to find any of them that I want.
5. I'd have to get white or nude underwear, and I literally would be buying them just for that day which I don't see as worth. I don't ever wear those colors as panties. And if I'm ever in something that would see my other colored underwear through I just don't wear underwear with it.

Anyone else considering this?

It's not necessary to wear panties. I know several brides on here have said they are going without. Personally I will be wearing them but I also have an over active bladder so I wear pads everyday to help in cases of bladder leaks or when I have difficulty getting to the bathroom on time.

I am!! Partly because I go without them a lot more than I’d like to admit Smiley surprise But it’s not bad at all. I’ll wear spandex to suck myself in but I got that ‘donk’ so any undies just ride up and are unbearablely uncomfortable!

I’m going panty-less, I truly can’t really wear any due to the fact that my dress is so sleek and fitted along with having see through sides. I tried about 10 different types of seamless styles and your able to see them. So commando it is!

Honestly, going to the bathroom with underwear on was way easier than I imagined it to be.. I went by myself, had no issue gathering my dress, pulling down my panties, squatting (facing the toilet - BIGGEST piece of advice), and getting everything situated again on my own. DH and I went at the same time and I actually came out before him because he had his suspenders to deal with 😂

If you want to go without, that’s totally your choice. But going to the bathroom doesn’t have to be on the list, depending on the type of dress you have.

If you wear blue underwear make sure you check and double check you can't see them. And wear a very light color. My friends sister got married and wore blue underwear for her "something blue" and you could see them! If your dress has tons of layers you might be ok but I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. I was mortified for her.......

So I can’t wear undergarments with my dress and I’m actually really nervous about it. I’m nervous it will be my time of month or something. Also I’m nervous that my legs will be all sweaty and gross from the dress. But regardless, I am not wearing them so if you don’t want to I don’t see why you’d need to

I would be worried about a crazy incident if I fell or tripped, or a draft, I wouldn't want to have my guests see my behind

I am with you girl! My one desire for my dress was to not need a bra and I accomplished that with the type of top I chose. Panties are in general - not comfortable. So unless I run across this incredibly adorable pair that are INSANELY comfortable - it is going to be none for me.

Gotta love when someone starts their post with "I don't care what your opinions are". Why post then?

I mean.... what if you sneeze-pee? Or laugh too hard or get sweaty down there or.... whatever? I used to be a commando kinda girl in my younger years, but I got sick of having to wash everything after only one wear. Because no matter what anyone says, bodies will do their thing and secrete things and not always when and where and how you plan. You do whatever makes you comfortable (even though you don't care about my opinion despite asking for opinions...). I personally would just be too worried about potential consequences on such a big day to consider it. I mean sitting down to dinner, and even just normal discharge on my dress.... no thanks. Also it's not even close to comparable to not wearing a bra.

    Team Commando and Team Bra-less
I'll be wearing an overbust corset to shape my waist and lift/support my bust. I'm going commando because no matter how flexible spiral steel is, taking off my panties to use the bathroom is tough and a hassle I don't want to deal with on my big day.

I can't ever go pantyless or even braless. I'm more than likely going to be wearing nude panties under my dress. I actually already have several pairs because they can be good if you are ever wearing anything light.

Baby powder is your friend when it comes to being worried about your legs getting sweaty!
