Panties? Are they necessary?

I'm not sure what the general opinion of this is going to be, but I also don't really care.

I'm considering going without panties for a few reasons.
1. Saving time going to the bathroom, because it's got to be a pain in a wedding dress getting your panties off and then back on in the right place.
2. Saving some cash. We all know that undergarments especially good ones are ridiculously expensive.
3. Panties always make these terrible lines on me ever when it's a thong and I'd rather not worry about it in my wedding dress.
4. Not being able to find any of them that I want.
5. I'd have to get white or nude underwear, and I literally would be buying them just for that day which I don't see as worth. I don't ever wear those colors as panties. And if I'm ever in something that would see my other colored underwear through I just don't wear underwear with it.

Anyone else considering this?

I’m planning on going pantie-less!

It’s not like I’ll have the ability to accidently flash anyone, and it’s waaay more comfortable.

I am forgoing a bra due to the style of my dress. I’ve considered going pantyless for many of the reasons you’ve mentioned. I say go with whatever you are comfortable with.

Don't overthink it, if you're comfortable without them then go for it. The only reason not to would be if you were doing the garter toss which could lead to an awkward photo or two

I’m considering going panty-less too! I’m nervous I won’t be able to pick a wedgie from regular undies or cheeky undies and thongs seem somewhat pointless to me for the previous reason above (it’s not like I can flash anyone) I say do what makes you comfy! Just make sure if FH is taking your garter off he doesn’t accidentally go to far and flash your crowd or get surprised himself!

I haven't decided. I never wear them unless I'm wearing a skirt, in case of wind or clumsiness. They always bunch at the hips which I really don't want. And I don't want to be picking a wedgie. But I also would like to be a little more modest when being helped to get dressed.

If you’re comfortable, go for it. I was bra-less as I had cups sewn into my dress although I did wear panties - but my dress had enough layers that VPL wasn’t ever a concern, and I wore a pretty blue pair as my “something blue”.

I think if your underwear are bunching, wedging and uncomfortable, you're wearing the wrong underwear. And I generally find wearing underwear to be more comfortable than not. I'm probably wearing bike shorts or similar under my dress because it'll be hot and my thighs rub together.

But if you just don't want to wear underwear, don't.

Okay for those of you that are worried about the garter toss with going commando have your future husband put the Garter in their pocket so that way you can still do the car or toss without them having to flash you. That was a suggestion of my venue planner when I didn't want the embarrassment of the Garter originally. Now I'm making it kind of funny by having him pull out things like a whoopee cushion and stuff like that and rubber chicken.

I considered it but it was quickly discarded. I'm just more comfortable wearing underwear. Also, I was wearing spanx so it's not like it would have been a completely breezy situation lol. If it helps, I had a fit and flare with a lace train and once I was bustled, I was able to use the restroom entirely by myself.

I went with out a bra and panties, and I’d assume the only person who knew was my bridesmaid who helped me change. I was way more comfortable and didn’t have to worry about finding under garments that wouldn’t show with my super low back dress. Do whatever makes you comfortable!
