Postponing from 2020 to 2022 due to COVID was definitely one the most difficult parts of my wedding planning adventure. What parts of wedding planning have been the least enjoyable for you so far?

Alcohol. Figuring out what to serve, hiring the bartender, buying the alcohol, dealing with leftovers, etc. I wish we hadn’t even bothered with it, except I know some people would’ve complained. 🙄

    1. Had to fire my wedding planner last week, she was only referring her friends and not open to any vendors i suggested. Was not prepared and not providing any of the services she had laid out in her contract. AND she was EXPENSIVE. My 50% deposit was 9,800. It just made my blood boil every time we communicated. I caught her lying as well about having a caterer "on hold" for me.

Really any point we divulged from tradition, simply because this process holds a lot of expectations from people, so that even loved ones check out from involvement if things stray too far from the norm. The wording of the invitations, the website, the livestream, etc, all flew over people's heads and we feel in spite of trying to make this about community, we've successfully managed to ostracize ourselves.

Our circumstances demanded a non-traditional approach, and it was not what either of us really wanted ideally. But that's how life is. Regardless, we had hoped that the important people in our lives would try to understand. We're now a week out, and are just ready to get it over with.
