Overnight bag for the night before the wedding

Marissa, on May 19, 2019 at 7:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

The day before the wedding we are setting up the venue, having the rehearsal and dinner and then I am crashing with my parents for the night. So I will not be back to my apartment before the wedding. So I need two lists.... What to pack in my overnight bag for staying at my parents? and what to pack in my wedding day bag? Thanks!

I’m confused at the difference in the 2 bags. Sees like you don’t need much for staying the night at your parents’ house. I suppose the bridal bag mainly needs your undergarments, perfume, wedding, shoes, jewelry, gift/letter for FH (if you’re doing that), a button down shirt (or one with a wide opening) so that it’s easy to take off without messing up your hair and whatever other accessories needed for your wedding day, which isn’t much else besides the dress.

I’m not close enough to my day to even begin to tell you what details you might need for the venue bag. As far as for your parents I would pack a nice face mask (that you’ve already done and know it won’t break you out or something crazy), your toiletries (body wash, deodorant, etc for your morning shower), casual getting ready clothes (I second the button up or wide top shirt) and whatever shoes you plan on wearing to the venue. For the venue bag the only things I can think of now are perfume, marriage license, undergarments, jewelry, your emergency bridal kit (safety pins, lip stick, tissues, etc), your dress and shoes.

Hey Marissa! What an exciting point to be at in your planning!

Whenever I am going away, I try to imagine my day from beginning to end thinking about what I need to complete each task. Ever list that I have written like this starts with a toothbrush and toothpaste and ends with pajamas and my phone charger.

Think about getting ready the morning of your wedding, what is your plan? Thinking this through pragmatically will really help you to write your list!

And PLEASE, don't forget your dress!Smiley laugh
