Ovarian cyst is trying to ruin the wedding and honeymoon. Sad.

Alyssa, on July 17, 2019 at 12:43 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 9
I think* I have a large ovarian cyst. I had an ultrasound and snapped a picture of some images. I went to the doctor after being in pain for a week. Mostly if I sit fast, or walk heavy, but its manageable... unless I have sex. That's unbearable.

I just want to dance at the wedding in 3 weeks, and not worry about it in Spain. Getting official results today but if it's a cyst they'll tell me to wait and see. I just want to have sex, enjoy the wedding and honeymoon. I've never had one (that I know of), why now? Smiley sad

Any advice on how to make it go away fast? Over a week and a half, I'm already on birth control (implant).

From the little I know about reading ultrasounds it looks like a large cyst, maybe 5 cm(?) Regardless I'm in pain, sad, and frustrated so I'm just venting.

I don't have any advice on what to do, I just wanted to say that I am sorry you are going through this right before your wedding!

So sorry to hear! I had one a couple months ago. I was told that they just wait and see if it goes away naturally before they do anything. So I went in and did the ultrasound. Told me to come back in a month for another one and if it was still there they would talk about removing it and if it was gone then good. I don't think there is anything you can do to get rid of it. I took a lot of ibuprofen which helped with he pain of sitting and didn't have sex until I was cleared that it was gone.

Sometimes the implant actually causes cysts. If it's a newly placed implant it might be the cause.
Ive always got them, and mine tend to break (trust me you'll know if yours does) after a week of being unbearable.
Also as a warning if they get big they can press on your colon, bladder, and nerves. So eat fiber, stay hydrated, and don't do anything like heavy lifting. Sometimes when mine pop they give me dirreah because it's no longer pressing on the surrounding organs. So don't worry if you have that happen.

Honestly when my doctor poked it Saturday I thought it burst 🤣. The pain shot to my knee and back. It looks like it might be hitting my uterus but I really have no idea what I'm looking at minus the big black oval being most likely a cyst lol

I had a 10cm cyst. The dr scheduled surgery the day he found it. He was afraid it would burst. As far as I know cysts that size don't go away. They may shrink but I dont think there is anything you can do. Talk to your Dr.

I'm having an MRI tomorrow. Large enough they will most likely take it out after the honeymoon. Less symptoms lately. It's about 7 cm

I don't have any tips but I wanted to share my story. I hope your cyst can naturally go away and best of luck with your wedding! It's an exciting time.

I had a 14cm cyst. No pain at all. When it was first found it was about 2-3cm. Two months later, they did another ultrasound and I was told I needed surgery. Recovery wasn't too bad. Just soreness. The surgeon told me he'll try to save my ovary. A year later after some miscommunications, I was told I no longer had my left ovary.
