Outside wedding in Oct. in Tx, back up weather plan suggestions?

We are having out wedding outside in Texas October 24th 2020. But we need a back up plan incase bad weather. We are on a tight budget. The venue is family land. There is a barn but it is full of stables, we could hold a ceremony in there if need be but there would be no place for tables for people to sit and eat or really anything else but the ceremony. We are trying to avoid the cost of renting a tent. Any suggestions? Even if you have a suggestion as to how we could arrange the barn so it could be used for both. Any ideas are welcome. Please

I don’t see how you could use the barn if there’s stables in there. Are there animals in the stable? I’d feel pretty weird being dressed up for a wedding and then having to sit next to a horse stable. Can all your guests fit inside the main house? If they can’t, I really think you need to bite the bullet on the tent.

As someone who grew up in Texas I would not be comfortable with an outdoor wedding in October there. I know your family’s land is free but it might be cheaper in the long run to find a fire hall or park pavilion to rent.

Not quite, we are figuring we'll have to rent a tent. Any other suggestions/on where the best place might be to rent a tent for 70+ people in Burleson TX would be?

The WeddingWire vendor directory lists a ton of different wedding rental vendors - Dallas Wedding Rentals. I went through the list to pull some vendors who specifically supply tents. You can check them out here -

There are none in the immediate Burleson area, however, I imagine many of them travel.
