Outdoor Ceremony or Outdoor Reception?

Outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour and indoor reception is what we're currently planning for!

We almost had an outdoor ceremony but found the perfect venue that ties the outdoors in with the indoors!

Both are being done inside. My wedding is in September and our venue is in Upstate New York, so we are expecting it to be a little chilly.

Outdoor ceremony. We are doing ceremony/cocktail hour outdoors. Dinner indoors. Dancing back outside.

Well I was shocked at how much I ended up loving out venue and the inside lighting so we are going indoors for ceremony and kinda half and half for reception using both the gorgeous outside space for food and drink and inside for dancing

Both my ceremony and reception are outside June of next year. Fingers crossed for good weather. 🤞

Outdoor ceremony (if weather cooperates) and indoor reception. It would be too much to be all outdoors for me.

Lord, I hate this question because I don't do outside, AT ALL! If I had to choose, my wedding outside and reception inside. I hate bugs and don't want my food with some unsavory characters trying to get in it!

Well be getting married in a church so indoor ceremony for us. We love the idea of an outdoor reception but it’ll be May in Florida so it may be hot! We do have the option to be flexible and switch to indoor reception that day if we want which is great.

Outdoor ceremony (weather permitting ) indoor reception

We are having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. We can have the wedding inside the chapel if it rains.

We are doing both indoors, but if part had to be outdoor I would do the ceremony

I prefer both outdoors, but definitely the ceremony. We’re planning for September in the mountains so the chance of precipitation is fairly low, and usually if it does rain it’s brief.

I would love to do an outdoor reception. However, we live in Texas so the weather is bonkers, you never know what to expect, especially in October --> still Hurricane season, could still feel like Summer or be cold or just rainy. So we're going to rock the indoor ceremony & reception.

If the weather is playing along both outside!! We both love nature, love being outside, and its so much fun during the summer time!

If one had to be outside. I would say CEREMONY. They look nice and I would not want to eat outside. I don't really do outside. I love the idea of actually walking down a REAL aisle. My ceremony will be at the church I attend and grew up in.
