As many of you know, my wedding was planned for May 30, 2020. Then Covid hit, and with only 60 days to go, we were told we couldn't have the wedding at our venue. We decided to postpone, thinking that putting it a year out would be plenty of time for things to go back to normal. NOPE!! At almost the same juncture as last year, our venue informed us that they are still heavily restricted, no weddings allowed. They may be allowed by the time our date comes around (May 29, 2021), but the guest count will be severely limited, to no more than 25 guests. Well, this put another wrench in the 100-person wedding we planned. What to do?
We didn't want to postpone again, but we also didn't want to give up on our dream of a real wedding. FH has done the courthouse thing before, and I didn't want my one and only wedding to take place in a government building. I wanted to salvage as much of my dream wedding as I could.
So, we're going to LAS VEGAS!!!! We actually got engaged there, so it fits. And once I started researching weddings there, I found that I could have just about everything I wanted, and MORE, for less money than I was going to spend on my original wedding.
I've been so depressed for so long, over this, and other stuff. I even stopped coming here to WW, because it made me sad to read everyone else's excitement, thinking I wasn't going to get that.
But now I'm so excited I could burst!!! We're getting married at The Venetian!!! It's my favorite hotel on the strip. It's so beautiful!! And everyone there has been so nice, and accommodating, and helpful.
If you're thinking about doing Vegas, check out the Venetian. So many great wedding packages, with price points for every budget.
I want to thank everyone here, who has encouraged me, and tried to cheer me up. I appreciate all of your kind words.
In 63 days, I'll be marrying the love of my life!!!! Happy Planning everyone!!!
