Hi everyone. I hope you are staying safe and healthy.
I wanted to share some happy news with you all. My fiance and I had originally planned on an evening wedding at a local botanical conservatory back in April. Olive Gardnen was our caterer and we were going to have cupcakes for dessert. Well, all of that completely feel through due to COVID-19.
We rescheduled for July 18 but soon found out that NONE of our original plans were going to work out. We felt defeated.
A few weeks ago, I came across the cutest little chapel in the area. Our officiant recommended it, so we checked it out. Oh my gosh - YOU GUYS! We learned that the chapel caters the food (the owner runs a catering company as well), decorates the venue however we want, purchases and creates all the florals (including bouquets and bouts), and acts at DJ!! It's amazing. And it is cheaper than our original wedding!!
Our plans have completely changed now. Our wedding is scheduled in morning and we are having a brunch reception. (Blueberry bread pudding, mini quiche, finger sandwiches with tea, fruit skewers, glazed ham, herbed potatoes, pastries, eggs, and so much more). We are having German banana whipped cream cake instead of pancakes, and we are going with a more summery color scheme! My fiance and I beyond excited for our new plans - they are a million times better than our original ones.
Anyway here are some photos of our new venue and our plans.
Venue: it can be decorated however we wish. These decorations were left over from another wedding.
My bridal look
Bridal jewelry: Vintage earrings a crystal necklace from Germany (both from my mom)
I am thinking of having the venue make a sunflower bouquet with purple accents. I am not sure exactly how I want it yet. These are ideas:
