Our names all in caps on wedding invites?

Lara, on March 2, 2023 at 5:25 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hi ladies!

I keep coming back to the same SILLY indecision over our names on the invitations.

I have googled relentlessly just to find what "etiquette" is, as I am so torn on both.... if I read that one way is the "proper" way, I'd go with that one.

We are having our full names (middle included) on our invites.

It looks great with all letters in caps BUT it looks great with just the first letters capitalized as well. (EEK)Smiley atonished

Examples:

Sally Mae Brown and Jake Steven Welsh, Jr.

vs:

SALLY MAE BROWN and JAKE STEVEN WELSH, JR.

I know... ridiculousness, LOL. I am now entering the world of wedding overthinking. Send help.

Does anyone know if there is a "proper" way, or does it just not matter whatsoever, just a personal preference and I'll have to toss a dang coin? Thanks in advance ladies.

Traditional etiquette would say the first is correct.

All caps would kind of make me think you’re yelling.

Jacks, get that. Lol. I found that many sample invitations online had all caps. The wording of the entire invite, the bridal couples' names. Got me confused. Etiquette won in the end. Thanks for your response!
