Our Las Vegas Destination Wedding

Jen, on January 11, 2021 at 3:03 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
Hello

We are planning our vows renewal and formal wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in September since we only did a court marriage. Ideally, we would like to have it at a hotel with outdoor ceremony venue and indoors reception room and make arrangement for us and our guests to stay at that hotel. But with our budget for 100 people, we are finding it difficult to get our ideal wedding. We found hotel casino that could do all within budget but they don’t have outdoor wedding ceremony venue, which we can’t compromise.
So we have couple options: A: Wedding and reception at same location and hotel arrangement at different location (close by)
B. Ceremony only at beautiful outdoor location and reception at the hotel where we would stay.
Question, in the case of destination wedding wherein majority of your guests are coming from out of state, what would you prefer while staying within your budget? My concern for both options is transportation....getting our guests from Point A to Point B. Thank you.

Take a look at eventective.com for non casino venues. A blank slate venue may be cheapest because they have tables and chairs but you bring in the rest (caterer, cake, photographer), pick up a bouquet or 3 at Walmart.. If you do outdoors, make sure it has plenty of shade or do late evening/early morning hours because it is extremely hot year round.

Ceremony and reception at the same venue is always preferable.

Find out the current Covid restrictions for that area are.
As a guest, I would be fine using an Uber if I didn't have a car rental lined up.

Thanks Michelle; will look into your recommendation. The wedding will be at sunset around 5 PM. Right now in Vegas, the governor order allowed for 50 guests gathering...we are hoping by September with COVID vaccine things might improve. We also have a contingent plan in case they impose more restriction.

Hi Jen! Could you cover the guest transportation to and from the ceremony venue for option B??

If you can find an affordable shuttle service then I'd go for it! Otherwise it might be easier to keep everyone in one area.
