Original Date Engravement Removal for Postponed Weddings

Nickie, on July 21, 2020 at 6:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Does anyone have an idea whether an engravement can be removed from glassware or silver? Since we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID to another date, our wedding flutes and cake cutter still have our original date. We are going to be getting married on the same date just 2021, so ideally I would just need to change the 0 to 1. Please let me know of your thoughts. Thanks!

    Etched glass cannot be removed.

I would reach out to the company you ordered from and see if they will replace it for you.

I don't think it can be changed, I'm pretty sure once there it's there.

You need to reach out to the company to see how they did it. Laser etching cannot be removed, but some companies call their work etching, but it isn't. For example, I subscribe to a wine tasting subscription program, and it comes in cylinder bottles. I'm able to remove the etching with a water/baking soda mix because it wasn't done with laser, but rather laid on top of the glass. We're removing the labels and reusing the containers in our favors!
