Ordered outfit from David's bridal and don't know if i should go up a size

So since we changed our wedding venue and are now having it in my fiancés parents backyard. I decided to buy a second outfit, something that won't drag on the ground all night. I ordered my size but forgot that bridal clothes are always smaller. So I ordered a skirt and top. The skirt came in today. When I tried it on I had it at my hips and it didn't fit. Then I remembered that the model looked like she had the skirt above her belly button. Above my belly button it fits fine. But I'm a little confused about how it looks above the belly button. Most of my problem is that I don't have the top that goes with it yet for it, it's made to order so it will be here in May. I tried it on with the only crop top I have so sorry it's a little rinkled. But I want to see it with the crop because the top that I ordered that goes with it is more of a crop top.
