Some of these pictures might seem familiar since I just posted a similar question yesterday, but for some reason I can't access that post now!
I have a custom mermaid style dress with a chapel length train that I love, and I really would rather not cover it with a longer cathedral veil (or deal with the hassle of cathedral veil), though that was suggested a lot in my last post! And I absolutely LOVED all the long veils I tried on while shopping, it felt the most magical and bridal to me.
I was thinking of getting a floor length veil so I could have that dramatic look yet it not be long enough to cover my dress train. And I love that ethereal look of sheer tulle surrounding your silhouette! But based on what I've been reading online, it seems that kind of veil should be paired with a dress that doesn't have a train? And I'm finding that with mermaid dresses it's suggested to have either a finger tip length veil to draw attention/not cover the flare (but I feel like it sometimes cuts off the silhouette in a weird way?) or a veil longer than the train of your dress.
What do you think? Fingertip? Floor? Do I have to get cathedral? But my train!? Attached are some pics of my dress (I'll be adding a petticoat to the flare) and some veils. I'll also be wearing opera length lace gloves, so I think I'm gonna go with a plain, sheer veil (with 2 tiers for a blusher) since there is a lot going on with the rest of my look.
I don't want to look silly and I definitely want to draw attention to the right points, but this is so hard! Thank you so much for your opinions, I really appreciate it!!
