Open bar??

Jessica , on October 23, 2017 at 11:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 44

Has anyone had an open bar? If so, how much did it end up costing. I saw 2,800 for about 170 people which I thought wasn't bad. I'm just curious what everyone else's was Smiley smile

An open bar is part of our wedding package with out venue. The cost is added to the final per person cost.

$2800 sounds about right, especially if your venue requires that you purchase the alcohol yourself.

We did a modified open bar and it was 3 signature drinks, 2 signature shots, three wines, and two beers. It was $650 for 65 people

It really depends on what is included in your package.

The lowest quote that I got for 175 people was $3,800 including licensing, insurance, sales tax and gratuity in a LCOL area.

That's a great deal (depending on your venue), I personally feel like beer and wine is just fine as opposed to a full open bar but for 170 guests that is worth it for open bar in my eyes.

Our open bar is $40 per person for 160ish people plus taxes which totals to around $6800. We are opting for a consumption bar since I have several family members that don't drink, and several others that don't drink a whole lot.

I would be ecstatic to pay $2800 for the bar lol

I wouldn't dream of not having an open bar. Can't tell you how much it's costing because it's built into the PP price.

We've set aside about $1500 for the open bar for 30 people. I have no idea how much it will cost because it's consumption-based, so I aimed high lol.

Ours was going to be $3,800 for 100 guests...full open bar. No way we could swing that so we went with their drink pkg instead...$7/pp. Huge difference.

We had open bar but the venue only allowed consumption. Open bar tab was $4,300 for 120 adults. $700 in corkage fees for the wine we brought and $2,100 towards 3 signature cocktails. We served alcohol from before ceremony until the end of the reception. 7 1/2 hours.

Our bar will be beer, wine and soda with a sig drink. It is priced at $39.95 plus 9% liquor tax...(we are in Maryland) so for 150 guests it will be around $5500.....I would love $2800. Smiley smile Some sort of bar is needed.

Ours is $3250 for 130 people. It was $25 per adult for open bar and we also paid an unlimited soda package for about 14 people for $10 per person.

This looks about right. Our caterer is providing the a full bar (liquor, wine, beer) for $18.00 per person - $1800 for 100 people so for 175 people it would be $3150

Our open bar is $15 pp for 4 hours for 100 people. So around $1,500 before factoring in tax and gratuity.

Edit: Includes beer, wine, and premium liquor.
