Only one ring, no wedding band

Today, FH and I went wedding band shopping. I felt like each band I tried on just took away from the thin, delicate look I love about my e-ring.

I'm considering not getting a wedding band and only wearing my e-ring. Has anyone else done this?

I considered this as well for similar reasons - my e ring band is pretty thin. We ended up finding a band that was a similar size so this is what we went with. I love how it looks but I actually think every so often I may just wear the e ring alone or even just the band alone. I don't think there's any problem with that.

Really it's a personal choice....do what you want. Some floks forego rings all together, some have a tattoo'd finger instead, etc

I have only one band, and it's actually a wedding band bc I didn't care for the normal e-rings I saw and tried on. I'm wearing it now but will take it off the day of for FH to put on my hand at the wedding.

I don't know if there's a Kay's around you, but I also have a thin band for my engagement ring, and I was able to find a thin band that also complimented my ring. I would suggest looking there. But I also agree with just wearing your engagement ring. It's very beautiful!

I am doing the same thing. We intend to eventually replace the gem inside with a diamond

This is not my e ring but I wanted a band that would be very thin to match my already very thin e ring and I found this on etsy. It comes in yellow gold, rose gold, or white gold and it is 1mm in width which works out perfectly for what I was looking for and only comes to $160 which makes it even better in my opinion! I think your ring is perfect, thin and dainty and I love it by itself, but I thought I would share my find with you. If you like it without the band you should go for what you like and makes you happy!

I feel the same way... I don't want a band and if I end up getting one it will have to be super thin

@Savannah P. I'm leaning toward just not getting one but I am going to keep the Etsy idea in mind. I didn't know they made them in 1mm.

I loved my ring by itself too! The only annoying thing about it all is way too many people ask where the wedding band is. Why does everyone have to be so damn traditional?

It's a beautiful ring! You can always get a small cheaper one just for the ceremony and then wear that as you want and not wear it whenever you want!

One of my girls only has the ering because that's what she wanted. It's really up to you!

My mom has a single ring. It was large for an engagement ring when they got engaged and so it functioned as both.

She's never complained or said anything about regretting it or wishing she had another band.

    A band means marriage

An e ring is just an engagement

    Though ur ring is BEAUTIFUL

I would still go for a band.

Pandora has cute rings that can match ur ring.

Your ring. Your hand. Your life. Your decision. I too think people may be asking when you're getting married forever. Still up to you.

My mom did this! Her ring was already double-banded, so she felt adding another band would make it look ridiculous. Nobody particularly noticed

I also have a thin, unique band to my engagement ring. I decided to do a thin rose gold band, I like the contrast between the metals and it helps my ering stand out more.

You have a beautiful ring and it will be great however you chose to do it!

I absolutely adore my ring as is. It has sapphires set on the sides and I don't want a band to cover it up. My FH has told me to do whatever I want if I want one fine, if not it's my choice. Maybe in time I will want one but there are always anniversaries!
