We did. I've seen other threads advising against but most of our people aee tech savy. And we needed to cut the budget. Also, we needed additional information that I found an online rsvp more reliable.

I m doing it! I also put my number on the RSVP card to make sure they can call if there is an issue.

We're only doing online RSVP ... 99% of our guests are tech savy. The guest who aren't live out of country (grandparents) so theyll call.

I think its fine. We have the option on our website but we're also doing RSVP cards for the " older " guests.

I know two people who did just straight online RSVP, as a guest I thought nothing of it and it seemed to work out for them.

We are going to do both. Online and send a card...I am old fashioned that way but I know a lot of our guests would prefer to do it online.

I am using an RSVP online feature as well as easier to manage (huge advocate). Just make sure it is set up correctly and guests can easily find their household/name. I managed the online RSVP for my BFF and my brother's wedding so I feel like a pro now (hehhe).

Be prepared for the older folks who are not into computers, etc. (meaning, there may be a handful who won't use the online RSVP).

Also, make sure that the names are spelt correctly as someone couldn't find their name and got annoyed at us. We fixed it but do as much as you can to avoid it.

Note, I can't comment on WW's RSVP feature (if you are using it) as using another vendor for my website.

I'm having RSVP cards and the cards will also mention an email option. I'm worried about guests RSVPing more people than were invited so I want them to read that "we've reserved ___2___ seats in your honour" as a reminder that the kids aren't invited to help avoid extras.

We're doing it the old fashioned way, but I don't see anything wrong with online RSVPs.

With the WW RSVP feature, you can label Households, so that eliminates anyone RSVPing for too many people, or people that aren't actually invited. Once someone types in one name in the household, the whole household shows up.

I am doing online RSVP but also allowing guests to call or text me Smiley smile

Saving all of those stamps after sending invites and thank you cards makes it SO worth it in my opinion!

What site or program are most using for the online RSVP?

I did mine through WW and only received 23 out of 87. It was extremely easy for me and for the guest (I tried as a guest) and was even smart phone friendly. I still had to hunt most everyone down. But I blame that more on my guest and not the technology! I think if I had sent them in the mail, my result would have not been much different. So, it was a cost effective way for me!

We did. Only one guest had troubles with the online RSVP form. Some advantages:

    * Guests could reply with a few clicks, instead of having to fill out and mail a card, which made them more likely to reply.

    * We got RSVPs instantly.

    * RSVPs automatically went to a Google doc, so we could see how many yeses, noes, and nonresponses we had at any given time.

    * The form was set up so that it was literally impossible to RSVP for anyone who was not invited.

    * We didn't have to worry about bad handwriting, or people just forgetting to fill in information, on an RSVP card.

I'm doing it, but I am also sending response cards for those in my family who can't seem to figure out how ti turn on a computer, much less browse the internet.

2d: Who did you go through to do your RSVP so that undesirables couldn't get into it? I'm having a bit of an issue and need a page that's locked up tighter than Ft. Knox.

Great Idea for those who are high on technology. I'm doing both.

Welcome to WW, Melinda! I did online RSVP's only, and kinda wish I'd done both. Between family just not really realizing that they need to RSVP and friends I think being used to having cards to send in, I had to remind people or ask them outright myself. Really take a look at what's common with your guests, if they're tech savvy, etc.

If you'll be sticking around, I hope you'll update your avatar (the rings) to ANY unique picture from Google we can remember you by! This post tells you how to do that: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html
