Look up Knockoff Nightmares. The dresses pictured are usually boutique designer gowns, that's why the pictures look good. I would suggest David's Bridal as well or PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com

I echo what Felicia said, I've never heard of a good outcome from those websites.

Another place to look for inexpensive wedding dresses would be at non-traditional stores. I've seen some beautiful white prom dresses and pageant dresses.

I'm tentatively planning on buying my dress online. The biggest tips I've heard are to order early (taking into account any reviews that show shipping times might be long), perhaps order a couple dresses, and order larger so they can be altered to fit you. There are Facebook groups devoted entirely to this kind of thing so people can get and share feedback on sellers/dresses. I would say don't buy a dress if there aren't any pictures or if there aren't good reviews. Trust your instincts.

I would only order from reputable sites. Online doesn't necessarily equal rip off, but do your research before sending your money.

The one I'm a part of is China Wedding Dresses - Success Stories NO SALES. I'm sure there are plenty others.

I'm also looking at getting my dress through Azazie or Amazon, especially if it's an ivory colored bridesmaid dress I love. I don't care for a ton of floof and fance.

I would just like to share because most people aren't aware. When you buy clothes that are cheap or a really good deal, and it's not in the case of trying to clear out inventory, you are most likely purchasing from a sweat shop where the workers make little to nothing and don't get breaks. A lot of places also employ children under the same conditions. Just something to think qbout. Although you may be saving money, you are not helping anyone else out, probably the opposite.

I ordered my dress online. I did a lot of research and didn't come up with any horror stories about the company. It was a nerve-wracking experience, though. The dress was $150 but is actually not a wedding dress. If you're looking at a site and it says you can get a gorgeous dress for $15, run away. If like me your research comes up positive, the dress is reasonably priced for what it is (in my case a cocktail dress), and you love it, then go for it.
