On the hunt for a wooded venue near Houston

Deborah , on October 4, 2017 at 10:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Does anyone know of a venue in the area anywhere between Houston and College Station, TX that has a very wooded, natural feel, and is more intimate for a smaller wedding of around 50-75? My fiancé and I are avid campers and want to incorporate that into the wedding through a boho forest feel, which is very popular right now. Wedding is on a short timeline in order to hit a cool weather window here in TX, so I need to make a decision soon. But I'm struggling to find someplace that feels right. I know I'll likely end up compromising on this, but am seeking suggestions! I'm very into DIY, so that's no obstacle, but still want to be wary of straying too far from a legit venue for the sake of parking, access, restrooms, and an indoor space in case of uncooperative weather. Suggestions welcome!

Not sure if you've seen this list yet, but it has quite a few options

I'm getting married at The Vine in New Ulm, which is near 290 and Brenham.

I recommend looking at Peach Creek Ranch in College Station. It's new and well accommodating. Also consider The Farmhouse in Montgomery.

EDIT: Also my date is before yours next year and most venues I looked at in the area were booked until March or April, and I booked in January 2017. You'll more than likely have to adjust your date.

Have you checked out Ronin Farms in Bryan? They have a beautiful 15 acre farm with a lot of trees, and the couple are both chefs. They even offer monthly moonlight dinners!
